In this article, we’re going to look at some nutrition secrets for perfect skin that can help you no matter what skin type you have.

1. How to get rid of dark spots

Dark spots on the skin, also known as hyperpigmentation, can be caused by a vitamin deficiency (especially, B12). Eating foods rich in this vitamin will be of great help.

To get rid of dark spots, you also need vitamins C and E, as well as antioxidants, which are found in alginic acid and grape extract. These substances are also found in citrus fruits, strawberries, kiwi, pomegranate, and tomatoes.

Also, try not to spend too much time in the sun or the pigmentation will increase. To protect your skin, you will need to eat foods that are high in antioxidants. Add foods like these to your diet:

Berries

Grapefruit

Pineapple

Plums

Cabbage

Spinach

Millet

2. Oily skin

If you eat foods with a high glycemic index, you will notice a lot more oil is secreted by your skin. In this case, your skin produces more oil than it needs to moisturize, causing unwanted shine.

Cosmetic products can hide shine for a while. However, they do not fully protect and do not last long. Your best bet is to follow a diet high in vitamin A. This vitamin will help reduce oil production for perfect skin. We recommend adding these foods to your diet:

Apricots

Mango

Carrots

Egg yolks

Spinach

You should also reduce your intake of high glycemic foods. Eat less white bread and pastries, potatoes, and pasta, and you will say goodbye to skin problems very quickly.

3. Acne

If you have acne, you may be eating a lot of high-glycemic foods.

Due to the increased activity in your sebaceous gland, your pores close and that’s where the bacteria start to multiply and the inflammatory process begins. However, not all people with acne have oily skin.

If you want to get rid of acne, you need to start changing what you eat and add these foods to your diet:

Fruits

Vegetables

Nuts

Flax seeds

Linseed oil

Seaweeds

Shellfish and fish

4. Dry skin

Dry skin is also a sign of vitamin E deficiency and cholesterol deficiency. This is another nutrition secret for perfect skin that you may find useful.

The absence of cholesterol is particularly noticeable in vegetarians since most of the cholesterol we eat comes from meat and fish.

To treat dry skin, you should add foods with monounsaturated fats to your diet. They are better absorbed when eaten with other foods such as:

Legumes

Seaweeds

Eggs

Soy sauce

Avocado

Peanuts and other nuts

When it comes to fish, eat varieties like tuna, salmon, trout, and mackerel regularly.

5. Wrinkles

Wrinkles can appear for many reasons, one of which is drinking too much alcohol.

This happens because alcoholic drinks cause dehydration. Sugar can also cause premature aging of your skin because glucose reduces skin elasticity.

Antioxidants will be of great help to have perfect skin. They have the power to rejuvenate your skin. For example, consuming foods like soy every day can have good results.

6. Bags under the eyes

Dark bags under your eyes aren’t just a sign that you haven’t had enough sleep. They can also indicate a food intolerance or allergy.

The first thing to do is find out if you have an allergy that you don’t know you have. Testing is the best way to do this. It is very good to remove the most common culprits:

Dairy products

Baking food

French fries

Instant coffee

Instant soups

Artificial sweeteners

If it turns out you don’t have any allergies, your dark bags may be caused by dehydration. If so, drink more water and don’t drink as much coffee.

Try eating more red meat, tuna, egg yolk, and millet, all foods that are high in iron levels. This is because anemia can be another cause of bags under the eyes.

Your mental health is very closely linked to what you eat. To improve memory, you need to eat foods that stimulate the brain and monitor your lifestyle and what you do every day.

Memory loss does not depend on age. That’s why you need to start taking measures early to keep your brain healthy. Eating the right foods to improve memory and cognition is one of the many things you can do.

What causes memory loss?

Memory loss is caused by a lack of vitamins, especially complex B, as well as amino acids.

Everything that you eat is very important when it comes to memory loss and cognitive decline. You need to eat foods high in antioxidants, proteins, and fats.

Brain function and how what you eat affects on it

Your brain contains about a billion neurons in every cubic millimeter.

This is constantly changing and new connections are being made. Your brain is nothing more than interconnected neurons that work with certain chemicals.

Poor nutrition will make you more vulnerable to mental disorders as well as degenerative diseases of the nervous system.

What to eat to improve memory

Glucose is the food that acts as fuel for your brain, while protein acts as a building block and neurotransmitter.

On the other hand, fatty acids (lipids) help build new membranes that protect neurons.

It is very important to eat a variety of foods, as well as eat 4 or 5 times a day, not skipping meals and drinking more fluids.

But, above all, it is useful to add to your diet foods that contain:

1. Omega-3

Omega-3 are polyunsaturated fats that your body needs but cannot be produced. Eating them regularly is good for your brain and to improve memory.

They act as a protective layer on the cell membranes of your brain.

They can be found in foods that improve your memory, including:

Trout

Sardines

Tuna

Clams

Nuts

Soy sauce

Vegetable oils

2. Antioxidants

Antioxidants are responsible for reducing the damage caused by cell oxidation and helping to improve your concentration. Although your body can produce its own antioxidants, it is still very good to incorporate them into your diet.

Foods that contain antioxidants:

Berries

Broccoli

Nuts

Green tea

Garlic

Carrots

3. Vitamin E

Vitamin E belongs to a group of fat-soluble vitamins that help counteract oxidative stress.

Some foods that improve your memory and contain vitamin E:

Peanut

Tomatoes

Asparagus

Kiwi

Pumpkin

4. Polyphenols

Polyphenols are defined as compounds that have an antioxidant effect.

Some foods that contain polyphenols:

Raspberry

Cherry

Green tea

Grape

5. Vitamin B

Vitamin B, known as folic acid, helps lower homocysteine levels, which can cause heart problems. It also helps the body produce new cells, including neurons.

Vitamin B deficiency can lead to anxiety, nervous system disorders, and memory loss.

Some foods that improve your memory and contain vitamin B:

Almond

Chard

Spinach

Cabbage

Hazelnut

Avocado

If you want to preserve your memory and fight off other diseases, exclude these foods from your diet:

Sugar, white flour, white rice. They can also alter the nervous system and cause hyperactivity.

Saturated fats. In addition to affecting your memory, they also slow down digestion.

Processed foods. They gradually affect your ability to understand and plan, as well as your memory.

Tips to stimulate your brain

Eat balanced, nutritious foods.

Eat on a regular schedule.

Enjoy nature.

Exercise for at least 30 minutes, 3 times a week.

Monitor your blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Learn how to deal with stress.

Be careful not to gain weight, as this can lead to mental deterioration and dementia.

Take a walk and spend time with friends; clear your mind.

Sleep at least 8 hours a day. This will help keep your nervous system in balance.

Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.

Many people say that they depend on sweets. They can not stop thinking about chocolate, even knowing that sugar is very harmful to health. How does sugar actually affect a person and why, for example, the apple in which it is also, is much more useful than exactly the same amount of sugar in its pure form? The last question is quite simple: in apple and other fruits the carbohydrate is “built” into the structure and therefore, when eating fruit, it is released much more slowly than when using, say, a refined sugar. The latter causes a sharp rise in the concentration of glucose in the blood – and this is called a high glycemic index. In apples, the glycemic index is low, and in white bread – too high.

After three to four hours after the take-off of glucose concentration, its level also drops sharply. This fall causes a desire to eat something else high-carbohydrate. A study of 12 men with excess weight or obesity showed that their craving for sugar in the brain manifests itself exactly in the same regions as the craving for drugs in dependence. In the course of another work, 120 students answered the question of what kind of food they want more and more, what kind of food pacifies their negative emotions and fuels positive ones. The first place in the answers was taken by chocolate, followed by ice cream and French fries. All these products also cause ups and downs in the level of glucose, and such dramatic changes are characteristic just for dependence. Substances that are addictive, quickly absorbed and quickly processed.

In yet another experiment, scientists checked whether eating the sweets causes the desire to eat more sweets. It turned out that yes – volunteers who participated in the experiment, ate their favorite sweets every day for a week, and then they were offered to change their preferences for the next week. 40% remained at their opinion and insisted on it. However, in the opposite direction it also works – if you start to gradually give up the sweet, the desire to pamper yourself with a chocolate or something similar will also gradually subside.
